Pour Down Like Silver -- Updates

In order to assist returning surfers, I'm going to list below the most recent changes to this website. Most cosmetic changes won't be announced. In addition, new or changed links at the Wiccan/Pagan links page, Silver Threads to Other Webs won't be listed on this updates page.

Updates list the current month plus the previous nine months (just like a good pregnancy...)

January 2001: (Happy New Millennium, ce!!)
* New books in: Celtic and Afri-Med sections.
* Updates on Pictish page, mostly with the links.

November:
* New books in: Essays, Wicca, Celtic, Afri-Med, and Miscellaneous sections.

October:
* Reorganization and new books listed on the African/Mediterranean and the Miscellaneous book list pages.

September:
* New Fiction listings, and more books of essay/memoir interludes.

* And, there is more info on the Magical Music page.

August:
* More Celtic Language updates. More Celtic book updates.

July:
* Brief updates on Magical Music. Essentially, I've added the wonderful Blackmore's Night and some of the early Clannad albums to this list of recommended musics.
* Joining the Celtic Pagan webring on the webrings page.
* Additions made on the Celtic Language Resources page.

June:
* The Pictish Page has new links out to new (to me) websites.
* More books in my library: Check out the Celtic book section and the Miscellaneous book section. And, the Wiccan section.
* I figger you should all know that one reason I'm slowing down on these pages is not due to lack of interest, but because I'm now using some of that copious free time in between the day job and family and garden and social life and sleep (whatever that was) to create web sites and computer graphics for other people. However, I shan't abandon these pages. I think, instead, I've abandoned housekeeping...

May:
* The Pictish Page has had one of its links updated.
* An Essay/Memoir update.
* Jehana has been busy. She had a wonderful vacation at Roan Mountain State Park, Tennessee, and a splendid time on a farm in Virginia. She has also been busy in many other regards, mostly not near quite so much fun.

March:
* A Celtic book updates, mostly pre-history and megaliths. Also, Fiction, and a Essay/Memoir update.
* A Miscellaneous book update.

February:
* A Celtic book update. Ahem, make that a second update, with two more books.
* A Celtic language update in the Scots Gaelic department.

January 2000 ce:
* Welcome to the new year, to the new century (Common Era)! We made it! And if you believe that society is going to Hades in a Handbasket today, keep in mind that all the people-style problems we have today were well-critiqued by the turn of the (last) century writer Ambrose Bierce.
* There's a new book for each of the Celtic Books and the Essay Books sections. And, the Miscellaneous section. The Fiction section, amazingly enough, gets several new (and somewhat new) books listed.
* Updates on the Pagan music page, too.
* There's been a mild update or two on the about Jehana page.
* Updates have occurred on the Celtic Language Resources page.

December:
* A few updates on the Celtic Languages page and on The Celtic Thing.
* More books mentioned in the following sections: Celtic, Essay, and Miscellaneous.
* New award, from StepChild Coven Online,
* Booklist updates: Celtic, Wiccan/Pagan, and African/Mediterranean (the latter of which now also links to a website on Ifa).

November:
* Albeit mostly cosmetic, there's been a facelift on enough pages that I thought I'd mention it...

* The first part (of three) of A Metaphysical Journey into the Sacred has been posted. It's a short(?) history of my introduction to, and my involvement in, the Craft, Wicca, Paganism, and related endeavors, sort of a set of personal reflections on this. The other parts are essentially written, but need a bit more editing, and some conclusion of sorts, even if this is still an ongoing story. Stories don't end on a dime, but writings need some sense of closure...

* I've now begun to include some Java enhancements hither and yon... well, so far only on the Wing of Newt page (that's the Samhain humor one). If you experience any problems with the Java stuff as it appears, e-mail me at: jehana@candledark.net, and explain what happens that seems untoward, and tell me what browser and version you are using. If you don't have Java enabled, you should see a stationary image of a Witch at the top of the page, before the text. If you do have Java capabilities, that same Witch starts getting downright funky...

* The Enviro-Witch page now has a link to current environmental news sources and information via iSyndicate. Instant content, yeah! (Don't worry; this won't happen everywhere on the website...)

* Techie stuff about this website is now up. This also includes the secret and arcane(?) meaning behind the website name.

* The Counseling Basics for Wiccan Clergy pages have been moved from AOL to this location. However, they will remain as well for now back on AOL as a mirror site.

* The four-part recovery article by Anodea Judith has moved to this location, too. However, it will remain as well back on AOL as a mirror site. (The rationale being that both of these sets of pages are being linked to by a variety of sources that I don't know about, and they provide services. Should you now choose to link to either topic, I suggest you link to them here.)

* A new article, Cultivating Tolerance, is on board.

* More books are listed and described in the list of essay-related books.

October:
* The Celtic Thing article is up and ready for perusal.
* The Universe Next Door has more artwork.
* The Universe Next Door has joined the Words and Images Webring.
* A couple new books have crept into the Miscellaneous Book List, and a couple more are now in the Essays book listings.
* More Pictish references, but no more actual text just yet.
* Some excellent music selections have joined the Pagan Music listings.

September:
* The Movies, Books, Protests... segment of the File Nook now has a lead-in webpage. The recent defense of the New Age / Pagan shop in Copperas Cove, Texas, has inspired some commentary before you go off wandering around various thoughts and such regarding the First Amendment's relationship to movies and books.
* the Discordian section is now as completely up and ready as anything which is meant to be discordian can possibly be.
* The World section now contains updates on situations in the school districts of Roswell, New Mexico, and White Plains, New York.
