Altars 'n' Things

Assuming Life -- and the camera -- cooperates, sooner or later there will be a photo of an altar from each Sabbat. Currently, we have five Sabbats represented online.

The Triple Goddess candles are prominent
(white, red, black; corresponding with Maid,
Mother, and Crone.)

Objects created by coveners & friends are present.

SETTING UP YOUR ALTAR

Do what makes you comfortable. In our group of four people alone, we range in preferences from the pared-down existential Zen altar to the more elaborate, decorator altar. Granted, the latter make for more interesting photographs, but do what suits you. There is something to challenging oneself in creating an altar and ritual space in a different mode than what you usually find yourself doing.

An altar isn't essential. I've done some mighty powerful ritual by walking into the woods, and invoking. Just consider the photos here, and the descriptions, to be potential inspirational ideas and NOT prescriptions.
