NO SPAMMING!
Outgoing Spam
No bulk, unsolicited emailing will be allowed on any Candledark account. This is not negotiable.
This includes "Opt-In" commercial mailing lists. We get enough UCE
to know what that scam is about.
If we get spam
complaints against your account, we will charge you $50 per complaint. Excessive
spamming WILL result in account termination. Even spamming from a system not on
Candledark's network can cause your account to be terminated as we don't like to harbor
spammers. Many forms of spamming are illegal, and we will not allow it. Send spam
complaints to abuse@candledark.net.
Due to the large amount of complaints we normally get from just one spam, it is unlikely
that you will get a personal reply when you complain about a spammer.
The spammer WILL be punished for contract violations.
Incoming Spam
By default, we filter out UCE/spam from known spammers. If you receive spam to
your candledark mail accounts, let us know. Candledark customers can send
copies of spam emails to abuse@candledark.net
and we will add them to the filter (they must be unsolicited mass commercial
emails, we're not going to filter someone because you don't like them). Due to
the massive spamming on the Internet, do not expect a personal response to
such requests. Let us know if you don't want this filtering done on your
account.
Candledark
is partnered with SpamCop for both
incoming and outgoing UCE. They are the leading force in catching spammers,
and have a long record of success. All reports sent to abuse@candledark.net
are subject to be forwarded to SpamCop as well.
